In addition to producing Toronto's popular Corktown Ukulele Jam we put tremendous energy into refining learning approaches that balance respect for the ukulele as a serious musical instrument with the fun and whimsy that define its character. Because it is so easy to get immediate satisfaction from playing the uke, bad habits develop quickly. Practicing mistakes inhibits progress. Personal instruction sets you up for faster progress and a better sound. Ours is a holistic approach that blends music theory, ear training, technique, style and groove. We balance detail and discipline with light-hearted energy and animated presentation. We offer a workshops for all levels of ukulele players privately, in groups, in person or absolutely anywhere on the planet with a decent internet connection and a Skype account. Our popular UKE-101 workshop has become a starting point for hundreds of players. Our style and chord camps help advancing players right wrongs and refine their skills.
